The Local

One of the first, and largest, “big box” grocery stores at the time of completion in 1956, this old Bashas’ site had since fallen into disrepair with zero landscaping, a sea of surface parking and minimal connection to the surrounding community.  WM obtained land use entitlements to enable the redevelopment of the site including over 40,000 sqft of new retail uses, and new pad drive-thru use, and a new 5-story, multifamily project with roughly 200 units.  The project includes a significant adaptive reuse component including the reuse of the trademark “fin” sign.

American Furniture Warehouse

Land use and zoning approvals for two approximate 600,000 sq. ft. furniture stores and warehouse centers, located in Gilbert, AZ and Glendale, AZ. Representation also included the negotiation and drafting of Development Agreements with each City.

Las Tiendas

A 25-acre, 200,000 square foot upscale neighborhood retail center located at the northeast corner of Alma School Road and Queen Creek Road in the City of Chandler.

Arcadia Crossing

Land use approvals and development agreement to allow the transformation of a regional mall into a major power center totaling more than 650,000 square feet including Costco, Target, and other major users located at 44th Street and Thomas Road in the City of Phoenix.

Happy Valley Town Center

An approximate 80 acre, 650,000 square foot retail shopping center which includes a Walmart and a variety of other major users located at Happy Valley Road and Interstate 17 in the City of Phoenix.
